The ASA Membership year is from March 1 to February 28. A corporation or individual has the ability to join the organization at any time of the year.
Corporate membership entitles a corporation to a total of five contacts to be listed under the organization in the annual ASA Directory published by the association, and listed on the ASA Website. It is the obligation of the corporation to inform ASA of any contact changes that occur during the membership year. If an individual is considered an ASA member under a corporation, but terminates employment with that corporation within the ASA membership year, it is the responsibility of the individual to inform ASA of the employment change. It is also the responsibility of the individual to ensure that ASA membership is continued with the new employer.
In the event the new employer is not an ASA member, it is the responsibility of the individual to join ASA for the remainder of the year. If the individual chooses to not join ASA for the remainder of the year, the individual will not be recognized as an ASA member for the remainder of the membership year. A membership change form must be completed by the individual to ensure correct information is entered into the ASA database, and other members are properly informed of any changes. A change form is available at all ASA functions.
At the end of each membership year all ASA members will be given the opportunity to change contact information prior to the printing and distribution of the ASA Directory booklet for the following year.
